MAXX FIT GOLF’s custom golf club fitting is a proprietary 6-step common sense approach that uses the latest customization methods to ensure fit and accuracy. From the initial interview to the delivery of your custom golf clubs, our focus on personal service and exceptional quality is second to none.

Step 1 – Personal Interview

You’ll meet with Certified Class “A” Clubmaker, Les McBride, either in person or on the phone, for a casual conversation about you, your golf game, and your future goals on the links. After all, golf is as much a mental sport as it is a physical one, so getting to know you better can have a positive impact on the “art” behind the creation of your unique set of golf clubs.

Step 2 – Present Set Evaluation

If you currently own clubs, MAXX FIT GOLF will conduct an extensive evaluation of your current set and compare findings with the anecdotal answers you provided during the personal interview. Quite often, concerns or issues raised during initial conversations will reveal its mechanical cause during this step of the process. The results provided in these first two stages serve as a recommended path forward for the remainder of the process.

Step 3 – Dynamic Fitting

The game of golf is played outdoors, not in front of a net! For this reason, MAXX FIT GOLF is better able to assess your swing and the resulting flight and distance of the ball outdoors at Stans Driving Range. Unlike hitting into a net, the range offers a more natural environment that won’t compromise your Dynamic Fitting assessment.

We’ll put you through your paces with a variety of test clubs based on the feedback we received in Steps 1 and 2. With the use of a ZELOCITY PURE FLIGHT analyzer, we can further determine swing speed, ball speed, power transfer ratio, swing tempo, transition for back swing to down swing, and the release of the club. A thorough and honest assessment of these factors is critical in providing the final recommendation for your customized golf clubs.

Step 4 – Recommendations and Prototypes

Once the assessment and evaluation stages are complete, MAXX FIT GOLF will provide you with a prescription for your set make up and specs for your approval.

At MAXX FIT GOLF, we understand how your clubs look is just as important as how they feel. We take great care to ensure your custom golf clubs are a source of pride for you both in your bag and on the links! At this stage, we choose the material components for your clubs. MAXX FIT GOLF uses only brand name, top of the line component heads from the same reputable and reliable manufacturers as the expensive retail and pro shop names. Brand name shafts and grips, the same ones found on the OEM’s, are also used.

At the end of this stage, you will be provided with a prototype club for you to try. This will ensure MAXX FIT GOLF can finalize adjustments based on the feedback you provide.

Step 5 – Final Adjustments

The feedback you give us regarding the performance and feel of the prototypes will allow MAXX FIT GOLF to fine tune each specification to match your requirements perfectly. It is critical at this stage to address any and all concerns as MAXX FIT GOLF strives to create quality clubs that will provide unparalleled enjoyment for years to come.

It must be noted that dynamic lie testing of irons and wedges is done after you have taken possession of your new set, as every club must be checked.

Step 6 – Club Assembly

The entire fitting process is designed to ensure that each golfer receives a crafted instrument that is unique, dynamic and offers the highest performance quality. In this last stage, MAXX FIT GOLF ensures all components are weight sorted, steel shafts are spine aligned, and graphite shafts are FLOed (Flat Line Oscillation) for consistent bending characteristics and feel.

MAXX FIT GOLF takes frequency readings of the adjusted prototypes for relative stiffness and uses this to match the other clubs to fall within that particular stiffness range. Shafts are then tipped according to the prescription, using trim charts as a guide only and then trimmed to length. Frequency is once again checked and swing-weighting performed. Once the ferrules are turned down and buffed, the final step – grip sizing, installation and alignment is completed.

A final check is performed and you now have a Blue Print for your individualized, custom golf clubs.
